Hello, I'm Sonya!
Firstly I'm a mum to three children (a teen, a pre-teen and a tween) so my days are busy and filled with all of their crazy demands.
With all of that going on I need to have my creativity side active- hence being a photographer. I've been a professional photographer for over 15 years and love my work and that no 2 days are ever the same.
I am proud to say that over the years I've won a few awards Including Maternity photographer of the year 2022, 2024 and 2025 plus Photographer of the year 2022.

TRAVEL
I LOVE to travel. But who doesn't?!?
My ideal holiday is on a sandy beach somewhere hot, with amazing food (I love spicy food) cold drinks and happy children digging holes in the sand and playing in the sea.

Tea
Don't be surprised if I open the door to you with a cuppa in my hand. I live off the stuff- easily 10 cups a day.. plus I picked up a bad habit from having young children and now microwave my tea whenever it's cold.!

I'm a magpie
I love shiny and sparkly things. When you meet me you won't think that's the case as I'm usually dressed in jeans and t'shirt but trust me .. I love sparkles!

I have a serious photography prop buying addiction which is why I know my DPD delivery guy by name (hi Paul). In my studio you will see the hundreds of props from accessories, dresses and outfits for Maternity photoshoots to teeny tiny outfits and blankets for newborns.
